Safety is paramount at InfraSource

Training & Education

Infrasources crews are a highly skilled and dedicated team of professionals in the field of natural gas maintenance and operation.

Their effectiveness as a team and individually is a result of rigorous training programs that ensure they are well-prepared to handle the complexities of their work. Individually, each crew member undergoes comprehensive training to become proficient in various aspects of their job, from equipment operation to safety protocols through the Operator Qualification (OQ) program. This includes training on specific tasks, such as operating pipeline systems, in compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety measures. As a team, they further enhance their collaboration and communication skills, enabling them to work seamlessly together to maintain and operate critical natural gas infrastructure while ensuring the safety and well-being of both themselves and the community they serve. Infrasource crews exemplify the importance of ongoing training and cooperation in maintaining the integrity and reliability of our natural gas systems.

Leadership Training

InfraSource is well known for its world-class leadership training programs that empower frontline personnel to excel in crew leadership.

As a key component of InfraSource’s commitment to safety, our leadership training is designed to foster a culture of excellence in every aspect of its operations. We’ve always held the belief that our most valuable asset – what truly sets us apart – is our employees. At the end of the day, there’s nothing more important than our employees going home safely. Our training emphasizes the paramount importance of safety as an integral part of the leadership journey. Through these programs, InfraSource equips its leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold safety standards and promote a workplace environment that values the well-being of its employees, making them exemplary crew leaders in the industry.

AED PROGRAM

Quanta’s Automated External Defibrillator (AED) program aims to increase the rate of survival for people suffering sudden cardiac arrests wherever our crews are.

The AED program provides equipment and training to enhance life safety response measures. AEDs make it possible for trained and untrained responders to administer defibrillation prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
We deploy an AED on every job site across North America. We go above the industry standards and hold ourselves to the Quanta Standard. Our AED program has saved 32 lives (including several civilians) so far.

AED units deployed Quanta Wide: 10,984

THE CAPACITY MODEL™

We are thinking about safety differently.

Good intentions don’t save lives. We know that even with the best preventions in place, things can still go wrong: people make mistakes and the world is unpredictable. We plan and execute our work assuming that failure will happen today. The Capacity Model™ is a system that helps us build the capacity to absorb failure without suffering harm. We learn from every job, every mistake, and every success to continually improve. Safety is not merely the absence of injuries; it is the presence of capacity.
